Default Factory HU adding Amp and Subs

can i keep the factory head unit and run a new amp to push two 2 inch subs?

2003 Ram quad cab, Infinity sound........do i need to bypass the factory amp on this install, if so....how?

Of course you can. You will need what's called a Line-Out Converter. It connects to the rear speaker wires and gives you a set of RCA's for the amplifier. Some amplifiers even have high level inputs which is basically a built in LOC. And no, you do not need to bypass the Infinity amplifier for this.
