sirius w/ rbq HU
I'm thinking of getting the sirius package for my '04 ram with the rbq (6disc indash) headunit. I read on various sites that the song/artist info is only available with the RB1 navigation unit(w/ special song/artist cable) or the jeep liberty(no need for special cable).
My questions are, if my headunit has RDS and shows radio song/artist info, why can't it show sirius song/artist info? Also, what's special about the jeep liberty, doesnt it use the same mopar headunits? If so, why does it NOT need the song/artist special cable like the RB1 needs?
I'm wondering if there is some marketing BS involved.

yeah, i sure hope so. I went ahead and bought the sirius package and should have it by wed. I figure i'll install it by that weekend. Then I'll let you know if it does

I got side-tracked a couple times so the pictures I took are not complete. The pictures are on my website here. The one thing I can stress the most is the use of the cardboard when drilling the hole in the cab for the antenna like the instructions say. I think I may have not used enough cardboard because my center dome light doesnt work anymore. I haven't had time to check further so it could just be a burnt out bulb but I think I may have drilled through it's power cord in the headliner
. If I did, I'll be taking down the headliner and fixing it which shouldn't be tough. I doubt that happened though since my rear brake and bed light work fine. I'd say that this is a moderate difficulty install due to the hole needing to be drilled but other than that it's simple and well layed out.
