1999 Dodge Durango Sub install to Stock infinity system? ASAP PLEASE!!!!
Ok.... I have spent all day working on my Durango I went to car toys and purchased the LOC, I spliced the Blue/White, Blue/ Orange, Brown/Yellow, Brown/Light Blue wires pluged into the amp behind the passanger door right at the plugs under the amp, is that right? If so I grounded my amp and supplied power, I did not hook the Amp control wire because I thought it was only for after market installs but I believe I need to hook that up because when I turn my system on the amp does not turn on and there is obviously no sound coming from the subs, I do however have sound from all my other speakers. Now I need to know whether my setup is correct, and where I need to place the control wire.
I have been reading in the forums and ppl are saying the best way to do this is directly behind the radio if so let me know and I will deffinatly fix that, but if my setup works than as much help as possible will be great.
Thank You ahead of time.

Your setup is fine. But you do need to hook up the "control" wire. You need to hook it to a source that turns on and off with the key. Either to the accessory wire behind the factory radio, or an acessory or ignition wire in the steering column.
The only reason it's best to do the LOC behind the radio is just incase there are any amps, or crossovers down the line from the radio that may filter the signal to your amp. But you should be all set in your case. It's also handy to do behind the radio because, if you ever change the radio out for an aftermarket radio with line-outputs, you've already got the RCA's run all the way there, and it's just a matter of plugging them into the new radio.

Thank you for the help there is a factory amp so I think i am going to move the loc to behind the radio and what color is the wire that needs to be spliced behinde the radio?
