Default Remote, 2007.. Can not find!

Okay. I wired up my brand new Kicker ZX750.1 with my Kicker Solo Baric S12L7 -- Yay! Now the amp doesnt turn off when I turn the truck off. I can not find a remote. I tied it into the cigarette lighter, and the green light stays on ALL the time. So, when I come in @ night,or leave the truck for an extended time, I have to pull the fuses out. It's getting REALLY annoying. Has anyone done this in the 2007 Rams yet? It's the non premium sound, stock head unit, stock everything w/ line output converter. Please respond and give me ideas.. I've tried every wire I can think of! And the cigarette lighter was NOT hot when the truck was off! I dont understand! UGH! It was apink wire.

If you unhook the remote wire from the amp, does it still stay on? If so, the amp is bad. If the Cig lighter is NOT hot whent he truck is off, then it will work. Sounds like it's in the amp. Also make sure the wire hasnt frayed any and there is a lead touching the Constant (+) on the amp or something.

thats odd.. it could entirely be possible that you have some strands of wire touching the positive lead on your amp from the remote line.. check that and make sure its not a mess down there... Also if its a problem call kicker...they are pretty good about fixing problems like these

I got mad at it, and pulled the remote wire out of the amp. It turned off. So, now I need help finding a GOOD remote wire and not having a faulty test light. (or being too retarded to know when the key is ON or OFF)

i If you are talking about the Ignition as in the ACC wire from the HU sure u can use that... If u are talking about the Battery wire then no you cannot use that because it is a constant power supply... umm i have no clue which wire it would be on a 07 ram but u could just wire it right into your acc wire from the HU... hope its an Aftermarket HU

There IS no acc wire on a 2007 Ram. The factory radio is turned on via the Can-Bus system. You need to use a Can-Bus adapter to get ACC behind the radio, or simply run one over to the fuse-box, steering column, ect. Just run it tot he fuse-box with a fuse tap and grab the wiper fuse. It's only on when the key is in the "RUN" position.

Or run it to the Ignition harness in the steering column and grab the Pink/White wire.

i would do that ^^^ Just dont run it to your Fuel Pump fuse... i did this once and i accidentally blew the fuse and didnt realize it was my Remote wire that did that so i thought my truck was mechanically failing... Just my 2cents
