Default 2004 Ram QC w/Infinity System Question

I am currently in the process of putting my Panasonic DVD head unit in my new Ram. I am running into the problem with not getting sound through speakers. I realize (thanks to your help) that this is due to having the factory infinity amp. I am trying to figure out what to do. I took out glove box and am trying to get back to the amp. I am not able to get the plastic piece right behind glovebox to come out. There is one place it is hanging up right by the passenger side door. There is a small panel that looks like I can take it out where the door closes but I am afraid of breaking it. Anyone have any ideas as to how to get out the final piece and what I need to do after that? Thanks, Matt

That panel behind the glovebox doesn't come out. It's part of the rest of the dash. You must reach back in that little hole in the panelwith your hand and a socket wrench and get 3 10mm bolts that hold the amp in. 2 on one side and 1 on the other. That will free the amplifier and allow you to fenagle the thing out of there. It's a royal pain in the ***!. lol

Wish I had read that a couple hours ago. I just got my dash put back together. I took every piece imaginable off of it. HAHA. I will try to in a little bit. THIS SUCKS! Thanks a million. What needs to be done once I get it out? Thanks, Matt

You just need to unplug it, then find the wires that go from the amp out tot he speakers and hook them to the headunit via 4 short runs of speaker wire. I'll see if I can locate the colors of the speaker wires for you. If not you can easily test for them.

Once you get it out, see if these colors correspond with the pins on the radio.

Connector #1
Left Front Door Speaker (+) - Pin 1 Dark Green/Yellow
Left Front Door Speaker (-) - Pin 7 Dark Green/Light Blue
Right Front Door Speaker (+) - Pin 2 Green/Yellow
Right Front Door Speaker (-) - Pin 8 Gray/Light Blue

Left Rear Speaker (+) - Pin 3 Gary/Light Green
Left Rear Speaker (-) - Pin 9 Gray/Dark Green
Right Rear Speaker (+) - Pin 4 Dark Green/Light Green
Right Rear Speaker (-) - Pin 12 Dark Green/Gray

That info is for an 05, but they should be the same, I'll keep looking, but in the meantime check and see if those pins/colors match up.
