I have the Infinity logo on the door panel and I have a satellite capable factory headunit (I added the terk adapter and have XM when I hit mode) but I'm not sure if I have the factory amp since the build sheet doesn't say anything about it. Where is the amp located or is there another way to tell if there is an amp?

My build sheet shows the following:
RAAC - All Radio Equipped Vehicles
RAZP - AM/FM Cassette Compact Disc Radio
RCKP - Infinity Speakers

 

I belive it would be located behind one of the kick panels (passenger side?)
thats where they go on daks, anyway...
It would be somewhere under/near the dash to simplify wiring

 

Well, there's no amp in the kick panel but there is a harness with a ton of blue wires where I could see the amp going. Is there any other way to tell if I have the amp? Would there be something additional I can look for on the back of the HU to see if it's wired?

 

The amp should be behind/under the glove box....if I says infiity you have an amp, unless someone switched door panels.

 

i dont know if you found the amp yet but i just took apart my 2005 ram 1500 with the infinity system and the amp is located right above the glove box. all you have to do is take the glove box off and u can see it right above the glove box...hope this helps
