Well this has been going on for awhile but im getting sick and tired of CD's. So this is the scenario...i have a basic $100 kenwood head unit. Randomly one day it stopped working all together and got stuck in standby mode. no cd player no radio. than one day i took it to the mechanics for another problem. I got it back and it told me to type in my security code. I did and the CD player started working but not the radio. So thats where im at now the cd player works not the radio. I eject the cd it goes into standby mode until another cd is put in. Why doesnt my radio work is what im asking. If anyone can solve this problem out i will ultimately love them

 

Hmmm. Sounds like something Kenwood technical service should answer. You do have your manual with the phone number?

Yeah, it's a POS Kenwood, I have never had a Kenwood that was any decent. Toss it under a bus and buy a JVC, or better yet, a cheap wal-mart radio,it will give you better service than a kenwood !

 

Pioneer is the best.

 

Well if i cant figure this out for awhile ill just end up selling it and getting another one not that i want too. My kenwood rear speakers work great but yeah this sucks

 

make sure the antenna is connected correctly. another thing you could try is disconnecting the power to the unit and see is it will reset. if none of that works it is most likely the unit as most $100 ones dont last that long

 

i use clarion now...after the one i installed in my stratus i can't get enough it's awsome i got the moterized one that is just so cool to watch but its was $400 on a special with free shiping and freeinstall parts...sound is f-ing sweet.[8D]
