How do I go from 4ohm to 2ohm?

I've been looking at my amp certificate and I noticed that it will put out a little more power at 2ohms. It's a Rockford 450.4 bridged to two 10" Rockford P2's. The subs are SVC 4ohms. By the book I'm putting 225W to each sub, but I'm pretty sure the amp is putting out a little bit more than that. I know that you change impedance with wiring, but I don't know what to switch around. Can I drop it down to 2ohms for more power or will it not work with my equipment? Or does impedence matter anyway when you have an amp bridged? I was just wondering because more power is always a good thing.

Two run the amp at a 2ohm load then you are going to have to wire your speakers up differently. Take your wiring from your subs and run the two positives together and the negative also, and then run one positive and negative to your amp. You will have to look in your manual that came with the amp and see what channels you need to use on the amp and you will be good to go.
