Default Help me upgrade MY sound

well, i am in the process of customising my car. now that i have gotten a performance part or two lined up i think that it is time to go for the sound system. I have an '04 neon sxt and, in my opinion, the stock system sucks...i dislike it. any suggestions on upgrade possibilities? i have looked at some nice looking Kicker replacement speakers, and am planning on at least putting in a 10 inch woofer for a little bass. Anyone have an opinion on Kicker or suggestions for a woofer?

I may just get audiobahn for the Woofer and amp.

http://www.sounddomain.com/ They have some good stuff, plus some of the stuff has user reviews, which could help steer you clear of the cheap stuff.

Here's what I'm looking to put in my Reg Cab Dakota:

- Panasonic CQ-DF783U CD/MP3/WMA Receiver
- Rockford Fosgate FNQ3406MB Mid-Range Speakers (for the doors)
- Rockford Fosgate FNQ4401X Tweeters (a custom job for the doors)
- JBL BassPro Enclosed Powerd Subwoofer (hopefully this fits behind my seat)
- A yet to be determined amp for the mids (the receiver puts out 50w, so I may not need this in my little truck)

I've never been one for big loud sound, just good quality sound. Hopefully this will provide you with a place to start. Everyone else, let me know what you think before I drop a wad of cash.

ORIGINAL: Kdog

i have looked at some nice looking Kicker replacement speakers.
Please don't get the idea that I am coming off rude, because I really don't want people to think that, but don't ever judge a speaker by how nice they look. I personally suggest Memphis speakers to everyone that ever asks me. I have a Memphis component set in my front doors and then the 3 1/2's in my dash and I love it. If you buy from an authorized dealer, you get a lifetime warranty. I have listened to Kicker before, and I like it too...just make sure you base everything on the way it sounds, and not the way it looks, as you will more than likely listen to it more than you will hear it.

If I misunderstood your post, let me appologize right away. Good luck!!
