Default infinity door amps

i replaced my headunit in my 99 2500 CTD with a kenwood KDC-MP205 and i replaced all of the speakers excluding the tweeters in the pillars with infinity reference speakers, my truck had the factory infinity system in it and i used the infinity amp w/ my new speakers but my right side is just playing static(the whole right side), i assume i blew the amp since my headunit has an amp built in and then was routed to another amp, is there any way i can eliminate the amps w/out rewiring all the way up to the headunit just by crossing some wires at the plug for the amp?

any advise is appreciated i love music and cant stand having my radio off, i want to fix it this weekend, im hoping this is an easy fix,

also can somone post a link fo a speaker wiring diagram for my truck? please!!!!!

Check your speakers they could be shorting against metal in the speaker openings. Make sure that the terminals or the tinsel leads aren't touching metal.

This would cause the problem your describing.

If that is not the problem and you want to bypass the amp it can be done.

If you can find the amp there should be two plugs of intrest.
The first plug will be low level input coming from the factory HU and the second will be output to the speakers.

If you unplug both and can get a wiring diagram you can by pass the amp by making a loop at the plugs.

Dutch

You wouldn't blow the amp by using an amped headunit. In fact the stock headunit uses amped outputs.

The amp in the system should be fine with the headunit. We replaced the head unit in my dad's 02 Ram (w/ Infinity system) and have had 0 problems with it (other than his steering wheel controls not working which I told him about beforehand but he still complains about)
