So I have a 1997 neon, I just recently picked up a Phoenix Gold 1500 watt (1000watt rms @ 2ohm) amp, and a solobaric 15" l7 subwoofer in an SPL cabinet.

I havn't installed it yet, but does anyone have any experience with sound systems in a similar car? Does anything rattle or anything like that? Should I pick up some dynamat?

 

NEONS ARE PRETTY ACCOUSTICLY SOUND CARS. THE LICENSE PLATE RATTLES ON EVERY CAR WITH A GOOD STEREO SYSTEM. TAKE IT OFF AND PUT A SPONGE BEHIND IT. IF YOUR STEREO HAS ENOUGH THUMP YOU WON'T HEAR ANYTHING RATTLING. IF YOU CAN, TURN IT UP. GOOD LUCK

 

Yes, the hideous plate rattle, it makes even the best systems sound like crap.[:'(]
