Default question with amp

im running a 10 inch sub in the back of my dakota.... problem is i cant get the amp to come on..everything is new.... all the wires are ran properly, and i know the ground is good..im stumped i dont know what else to check..i checked all the fuses in the amp, radio, and the power wire and they are all good..can someone help.

You might want to go ahead and double check
1. Power wire(not likely, if you forgot to hook it up then......)
2. Ground(if your running serious power you want bare metal, NO PAINT)
3. Remote wire(there wire that runs from your head unit to the amp so it knows when to turn on.)
If all the above are hooked up properly the amp will turn on. if not then you got option 4

4. Busted amp. If it is new then you should be able to get it replaced for free if you got it at a good retail store.

My thought would be the remote wire. Make sure its hooked up to the deck harness and not the truck harness. If not, bad amp.

yea im thinkin the ground or the remote... also if the battery is bad enough then he might not be able to get enough of a charge...

tried hooking up another amp i have that i currently have in my mustang and the same problem occurs...so i dont think its an amp problem...thanks for the help guys its helping out alot

Check the remote wire for the proper voltage. In my truck there is more than one wire from the factory harness to the aftermarket deck remote wire just to power the deck. It could be causing the amp to not get a signal from the radio if these are not hooked up.
