Help installing SWI-JACK steering wheel interface in 1999 Durango
1999 Durango SLT
6 speaker Infinity system
JVC KD-AVX11
I want to add the SWI-JACK steering wheel interface so I can use my steering controls... I know I need to use the red/black wire but have a quick question. Do I have to splice into it at the steering column or can I do it from the connector that went to the back of the old radio? I noticed that it passes through a MUX in the "Central Timer Module." I am a firm believer of NOT splicing/cutting factory wiring, which is why I want to just plug into the old connector... And the factory service manual does not mention the wires from the CTM to the radio... Anyone have any experience here?

Well, nevermind... I thought I saw a red/black wire going to the back of the radio... But I found the connection to the radio. It goes into the CTM and comes out of the CTM as CCD BBUS + and -...
