I also have a problem with my 12 volt line/cig lighter outlet! I had my radar detector hardwired up through my dash and I am guessing it was connected to the 12 volt line like with my cig. light outlet? My detector worked when it was hardwired through the dash and then the lights worked but there was no sound and all settings did not change! Then I plugged it in the actual cig lighter and then that did the same, but the lights on the radar detector worked.

So, cig. lighter outlet has no sound for radar detector but lights work. The hardwired spot has lights working but no sound. I tried every combination and I dont know why its doing that!

Does anyone have a hit on this one?
