Default stereo malfunction

ok i got im my truck this morning and turned it on and the cd/tape player didnt come on with the truck. No radio, clock or anything. Im thinking there must be a short but i dont know anything about electronics. I checked all the fuses allready and they are fine. Maybe there is an internal or inline fuse on the wiring that is blown or the whole stereo. it was working fine when I shut it off last night.
Any help would be appreciated

Default RE: stereo malfunction

Is this the stock unit or aftermarket?

Sounds like the remote turn on is not working...or something else is wrong internally. If you feel like pulling it out, double check the red wire...it's the +12v turn on lead for the Head Unit. peace
