Default help with sound system

i installed a new head unit and door speakers but still have the staticy, distortion sound that i was told was the amps conflicting but i dont see how that could still be if i replaced the door speakers. i put the stock speakers back in for now. the one flaw i can think of is maybe the amps were still conflicting cus i only put in one speaker than tested it so maybe the amp on the other speaker was messing up the new one? btw the head unit is a pioneer 4100ub and the speakers were alpine type r's 6x9

What year vehicle and model? Do you have them running off stock amp or aftermarket? Is it static or distortion?

it is a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with the notorious infinity sound system. the soudn is static and is only present in the front speakers even afte i replaced one. i only replaced one because i tested it after wiring th first oen adn still heard static. is it possible that the amp on the other speaker that was never removed is affecting the other speaker that i did replace?

If you hooked them up with same wires that were running stock, then they are running off stock amp.

It could be a few things:
Stock amp is going out on those channels.
Stock amp going out totally.
Distortion.

If distortion, means your bass value is too high and fade is probably towards the front more. Make sure to put your bass at 0 or neutral, and check your fade.

Where are you located?

Well, I am not sure what ohm load your factory amp is stable at. If only 8 ohm and you ran 4 ohm it could have taken a channel out. I suggest go to your local dealer and have them look.
