6x9 door speakers, What fits?

Thanks...I should have mentioned that I went to Crutchfield and plugged in my vehicle.
That brand and model of speaker you owned didn't come up. The only speaker they listed was a brand I'd never heard of.
Which is why I posted here, I was hoping to found something I could purchase locally. I've noticed that most boxes don't have the physical specs listed on them.

The factory 6x9 cut-out in the door is actually small
All most all aftermarket speakers will not mount flash in the door with the factory hole
A mounting ring will be required unless you cut out the hole
The factory 6x9 speakers have a small black plastic ring around them to allow them to fit the smaller hole. This ring doesn’t work well for aftermarket type 6x9 speakers

Zierbox, thanks for the help!
That door doesn't look like mine, but you are correct. I had to fab a spacer.
The stock speakers had a 2.5 inch depth and no spacer behind them. But my new speakers measured 3 inches.
So I recycled my old speaker grill and cut all the center out, leaving a perfect spacer ring for my new speaker.
When I installed the door panel, the speaker bubbled it out a bit. I may heat the panel and try to warp it so there isn't as much pressure on the tweeter mount. The bulbous look won't bother me.
I'm happy to have a properly functioning stereo again. I'll do the other door next week if the weather holds out. Even though I used rather inexpensive aftermarket speakrs, there was a decent improvement in sound quality. I may have to to do my quad doors!
Thanks again for your help!

Question: The doorpanel speaker grill on the OUTSIDE of the doorpanel is very large and looks sturdy enough. Can I surface-mount an 8" speaker on this doorpanel? Has it been done before.
Please do not laugh at my suggestion.... people used to laugh at me all the time in 1989 when I installed a Casio LED TV on a gooseneck in my Corvette. Now it's "all the rage".
