Default Solo Barics???

So I'm talkin to Joe from Fox Box right now, and he says that in January, he will be back making the fox box for the QC. I have seen a picture of the new one, and they can now fit a square, solo baric sub. Are the solo barics really that good?? I have heard for years that they are the best subs to own for good sounding bass.

My question is, is the solo baric going to give me sound quality that is that much better than a standard round sub? Is anyone running the solo baric? If so, do you prefer the 10" or the 12" ??

I have the standard kicker comp 12" underneath the rear seats, it was alright but nothin to brag about.
But I recently I borrowed from a buddy's 12" L7 solobaric... I was pushing only about 400 watts to it (which is pushing the comp to the max) and the L7 was ridiculous compared to the comp...with the right amp these things pound.
the price on them is more than the regular round sub tho also.
hope this helps.

Yes it does help. I do remember hearin about some ppl with them talk about how they hit and such, but the people who tole me this, well, lets just say I wouldnt believe that they were on fire unless I saw it with my own eyes. My cousin did have a 18" solo baric in the back of his bravada before that was stooooooopid loud, but then again, it was an 18, pushin over 4,000 watts. so that is to be expected. Thanks man for your opinion on them, and Merry Christmas!

Kicker subs go for SPL not quality. Not saying they sound bad, but they are not an SQ sub. They are more for loud bass.

kicker SUCKS for sound quality. if you want good sq with a well known brand get JL audio. They are not the loudest but sound the best. Don't even think about a square sub for sq eaither.

I do think the soloB's are very nice and it could hit very tight hard bass. Not sure what they sound like in the RAMs, which I too am shopping for a subbox also.

All I can say is a buddy has 2 -12" in his 06 Civic and damn.... they pound clean!!

I know that the Kicker L5 SoloB's which is a 8" driver requires about .33 cu ft of sealed air box space (minimum). I think they would work very well in the QC Rams (under the seat boxes)

The L10 is .66
The L12 is .88

that is true dirty...
all of my friends end up lettin me try their subs in my truck, but right after i tried out that L7, another buddy let me borrow his 2 8" JLs while his car was gettin worked on...now these arent as loud and dont provide the bass that the car next to you feels, but it is more of a more crisp and precise bass.. guess you gotta hear it for yourself to truely understand.
At a local stereo shop that had an accord with 1 10" L7 next to an impala with 2 15" rockford fosgates and they did this to simply show how powerful those damn things are.. both cars sounded almost the same.
