Default Infinity Stereo questions

I will leave the long story out of this, but essentially I HAD the stock infinity stereo in my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad when I bought it. Pulled it out, SOLD it (dumb idea now) and put in a new stereo. I thought I'd never get rid of the truck. Now I have 2 kids and want to get a megacab. I want to pull my aftermarket stereo to take with me. Now I need to buy a factory receiver and speakers. What receiver model number is the inifinity stock stereo? Can I just plug in any speakers or do I need to find factory infinity speakers again?

Is anyone getting rid of their working infinity receiver and speaker that are compatbile with my 02 truck?

Yes I will have a box that holds 2 10" woofers for sale once it has been pulled.

Thanks in advance.

As for a part number, I'm not sure. I don't keep up with that, but I do know that you can make just about any factory H/U from the 2002 ram trucks fit. Now, you'll need to do adaptation, but it's doable.

My question at this point is why are you trying to return it to factory? I would just hop down to your closest walmart and buy the cheapest deck I could find. Like say $60.00?

As far as making the speakers work, you don't need factory infinities. You would just need to wire around the amps so to speak.

with trucks not really selling around here I need to do a little something to get it to look it's best. Hell I'd prefer to sell wtih no stereo and make my life easier, however I don;t wnat to drop the price becuase if has no radio. EVERYTHING will come out of the truck so I will need to get new speakers again anyhow.

I'm so up in the air about what to do right now it's crazy!

Man, trucks aren't selling anywhere.

Now, in my book, I would think it to be both easier and cheaper to just replace with cheap components rather than trying to track down OEM replacements.

Brands Dual and Durabrand come to mind.

Besides, I assume that you do know how to wire all of this in.

Try a junkyard for a bone stock basic radio/speakers, they'll be cheap. www.car-part.com

Default You Might Be In Luck...

Just so happens I'm replacing my Factory CD/Cassette Head Unit and Amp with aftermarket, that will go with the truck when it goes many years from now I hope. I have a 2004 Ram which I assume will work but I'm sure somebody on here will tell you for sure. I should finish the install this weekend if the last adapter I need comes in this week yet. Let me know if you're interested and what kind of a price you are thinking of. I have done zero checking as of yet to see what they should go for.

Oh, so if you have the head unit then all you need is the amp? I would still be willing to make you deal on just it. What kind of price were you thinking you would have to pay for a stock amp? I looked on ebay and the only thing I found remotely close was for a Viper and they wanted $300.00 for that, which is wishful thinking !!

Still no parts yet on my end, so it looks like I won't get them until next week now. But they have shipped, so I know they are in route.

Not sure if this is resolved or not. but your best off to go to walmart just like he said and buy some cheap *** stuff do it yourself. it will sound better than the **** stock speakers anyways. not to mention way cheaper.
