im on it. i should have just built one myself for under the seats but was lazy. i made the one for the front seat from scratch, sounds good. will post new thread when done,

IF is the key word. I would only be slightly ok with a single chamber for two subs if I made the box myself. Plus, if one sub blows it could harm the other sub where as with 2 chambers, if one sub blows the other will not be affected. The problem with trucks is they usually don't have a lot of room for extras so making a box big enough to have a port is difficult. I would just either try and buy a box or make your own but if you make your own I would say non-ported and 2 chambers.
your other option is shallow mount subs...
I'm in the process of fitting 2 pioneer shallow mounts ( 12" PORTED) into my truck. It seems that these shallow mounts need next to no room to run. I think it requires less than .5 square feet. My installer knows a little more...this is new technology, and it makes it so you can do more with a system in a truck. Cause again mine will be 12's ported!

shallow mount subs just sound aweful if you ask me. a shallow 12" will put out about the same quality and depth as a quality 8"
stay away from the shallow mounts if you ask me...

i made a box myself that houses one rockford fosgate 12 down firing. i built the box so it looks like my center consol! it sounds f**king awesome for 1 cheap 12.
beats so hard, my headlights rattle.

You guys say that having two subs sharing one space, with no divider is bad. However the fox box is built to share one space, instead of each sub having its own dedicated space... Can anyone embelish this for me? How is the fox box so great if it apparently isnt build correctly???

The other thing about them is that if you don't build it properly you may put strain on either or sub, if they are not ported (sealed) Which leads into another issue if both sides are not totally even volume, which in these trucks they are not, makes it that much harder...
Its much easier for an average joe to build two separate boxes, OR build one big box with chambers so it acts like 2 boxes. Personally I think 1 box with 2 ported subs (no chambers) Sounds much better then two separate boxes, hits lower IMO
