Default Radio question

I have an old radio in my truck. I am not sure if it was the one that came stock in it but it does not a have a cd player....I want to upgrade to a cd player and maybe even a in dash dvd player but I have the radio controls on my steering wheel so will I have to stay with a dodge stock stereo and just find one with a cd player or will any stereo (best buy etc) work with the steering wheel controls?

Thanks

Some In dash units have a wire that lets you keep your steering wheel controls. I'm not positive on which ones do. Maybe someone will chime in with better results.

Try going to crutchfield.com and looking up your vehicle. There might be something there. Otherwise they do make a device that works just like a remote. you plug it into you wires from your steering wheel and progam it to resopnd to the buttons however you desire. I guess maybe a better way of saying it is that it turns your steeringwheel buttons into a remote control for you HU.

Hope that helps. If you are still wondering I might be able to look it up for you later and send a link, but no promises I have been having a busy coupla months.
