Default Sound System Question

Im thinking about installing some new speakers in the 4 drs and I was wondering what size they are?? Kicker website says the front two doors are 5 1/4 and the rear two are 6x9 is this true? Also, are Kicker speakers good?

those sizes sound right from what i remember.. although i have a mtx componet system out of my old durango so i had to do some creative mounting of the speakers cause they were not the right size for the ram..

my buddy has some kickers in his silverado and they sound real good.. although i would have to say the kenwood excelon's sound a lil better. and im really happy with my mtx componet system too. sooo.. yes kickers are good IMO, but so is alot of other stuff lol

you can basically fit anything up to a 6 1/2" round in either door. Stock I believe they're 6x9 up front and 5 1/4 in the rear.

For what its worth, I'm selling my entire sound system out of the truck. I've been real happy with it for the last couple years, but its time to upgrade. If you want a decent system without the hassle of mixing and matching parts, I'm selling the system as a whole including front speakers, rear speakers, sub, underseat sub box, amp, and ALL wiring, fuses, etc. It'll be an easy plug and play install. PM me if you're interested.

Fronts are 6x9 but will fit 6.5" with adapter plates and can allow up to a 3.5" deep woofer. The rear doors in your '08 will fit standard size 6.5" speakers and is a limited depth of 2.5".
Front door 6x9's are tight even with adapter plates. Stock hole is rather small. Rear doors the hole is small as well and adapter will be needed and the screw holes won't be exact either. Atleast the 3 pairs I tried didn;t line up.

If you get door speakers, you'll really want to get an amp for them. HU power isn;t really enough to make them come to life and sound good no matter the brand.
I'd reccomed THESE on a budget income. They sound fanfreakintastic for the money.

I have always stuck by kickers. They sell anything from the cheaper type of speakers all the way up to I believe the ks series which comes with tweeters and a small amp/ equilizer. Basically in car audio you get what you pay for.

Thank for all the advice. I went to http://www.kicker.com/mopar since it has a thing with mopar and stuff. I inputted my information and look at the set up they gave me. Then I went to Crutchfield and looked up all the speakers. Crutchfield says the speakers Kicker recommended would not fit in my truck lol.
