Default Here to help

Hi folks. I just joined this site and was wanting to offer any info i can to help in this community.

This particular section is up my alley. I was into car audio and electronics about 15 years ago. I have dealt with many aspects of this industry. Have designed and built Demo car/truck/van audio systems for such manufacturers as Orion, Rockford, Alpine , Sony and Clarion. Been years ago, but the principles and techniques remain the same.

I cant tell you what to get or why, but I can help guide you in any issues you may have for the most part.

I am not totally familiar with the media center in your truck, but it would seem to me from what you describe that you are accurate in your thinking. The one thing you will need however is a hi level to low level adaptor for the audio inputs to your amp. from the search I made on your amp it appears that it takes up to 4 volts of input, the sub output will greatly exceed that! I reccomend the audiolink pl-2. Its one i used for years and they were still being made last i knew.

Hey viking just put my new deck in and was setting the custom eq settings and rather than screw around for hours i was just curious to see if you could point me in the right direction. I listen to mostly country with a little rap and rock, so i like bass that hits and doesn't vibrate, like a snare drum. Here are the settings in the EQ which i totally don't understand setting p 1 goes like this the following range from -6 to + 6 high then mid then low. p setting 2 high 10 khz Q n1(going from 2n to 2w), loudness(i got that one i think haha), subwoofer one normal or reverse, sub 2 100 hz+4, bass booster ranging from 4 to -4, hpf on or off, and sla going + -. All the hz and + numbers are variable any advice or definition would be great. Thanks.
