I wanna feel the bass.. Help??
Hey guys just wanted to know what you guys are using for a system.. I have an Alpine type E 12" in a ported box on my rear seat and am building a under-seat box to hold 2 12"s (both alpine type Es) but with the one you can't FEEL the bass. Does anyone have a single 12 setup that actually shakes the truck? I'm just not convinced that the 2 12"s I have will produce that kind of bass. Right now I have about $200 into the 2 12"s and am pushing them with a 4 ohm stable Alpine 500W amp. The under-seat box will be sealed but I'm losing air space (and a lot of it) and don't think the two combined will produce enough hit to shake the truck.
Thanks
Thanks

The under seat box didn't do your truck much justice with the sound? Cause it sounds like I'm going to have about the same air space as you have

no justice at all and from what the car audio shops were telling me was to buy new speakers that didnt need that much room for around $200 a peice and it still will not hit as hard as it did in my Yukon. So I just gave up I wish I could just take the back seat out and built a big box but the wifey said where would the kids sit then ? My answer was I have a truck bed LMAO that didnt fly to well hahaha

First off a Yukon is in no way comparable to a Ram. Secondly, Ive got a Foxbox with two Kicker CVR 2 ohm DVCs running right at 1600 watts collectively and cant see out of my mirrors when it is turned up. It is more than enough. However, with that being said, I am never satisfied and am building a new center console box for my floor shifter, XBOX 360 console, power inverter and maybe a 10" touch screen for an in-truck PC but in the back if it will also be another 12" sub and amp for a total of 3 subs. It is more for looks but Im sure it will increase dB and SPL.
