Default Sirius radio problem

I have an 07 Ram 2500 with stock radio (6) CD changer. This radio is supposed to be Sirius ready. The truck has a factory Sirius antennas on the roof. I got the Sirius ID from the radio and had an account activated. The Sirius rep told me to tune the radio to channel 184 which i did and she sent a signal to activate. Well nothing happened. I am supposed to have audio on this channel and there is none. It seems like the radio is not receiving signal from Sirius. I took the radio out of the dash and expected to see two antenna inputs but only saw one which looks like an am-fm antenna wire, none for Sirius antenna input. Any ideas????

I found the same thing with mine when I removed my unit (just like yours). It only had one input. The radio is Sirius ready which means that when the Sirius module is installed (usually behind the glove compartment and or in the right floor trim panel) it will know how to receive the Sirius signal.

My Ram had that radio and the module so everything worked. I have replaced the radio with a RER Mygig but have not hooked up Sirius yet. I am looking for the Sirius module so I can re-route the antenna. I do not know if you would need a dealer scan to activate either the module or radio. Maybe some one else can chime in.

Can you see if the cable may be tucked away in the dash? That's a bummer it's not connected.

I would say you might be able to order a retail antenna, but I don't believe it would have the Radio Specific attachment clip.

I got sorta lucky when I replaced my Radio with a new DVD/NAV unit with XM Radio. The Sat Antenna fit and worked, however the plastic connector from the antenna had nothing to connect too on the XM side. So with the help of Duck Tape the antenna is now secure
