Default new fox box in...seat wont go down

So I decided to put my new foxbox in today...you know the new dual vented 12 type that you have to screw together....

So I take out my fold flat floor, no problem.
Remove existing bolts that hold seat to floor, no problem.
Put in 1 5/8 inch spacer for each floor support, 4 in all, no problem.
Checked seat functions, all good.
Put box under seat, without pods attached, the SEAT WILL NOT GO DOWN.

W.....T......F...........

So the only thing I can imagine is step 2 "Remove 1/2" CROSS BARS "not found all all trucks""

So what are "Cross Bars"?? Is that something inside my seat or something that I should be able to easly see that it needs to be removed.

Thanks.

I know that the seat is supposed to sit up about a half inch after install. Is that what you are referring to?

Nope, I am saying the seat will not come back down to level with the box and spacers installed. There is no way to even have someone sit on it.

Does the seat come back down without the box under it with the spacers installed? Can you see where the box is getting in the way? Have you called Joe? I have had pretty good luck with getting a hold of him. He is knowledgeable about the product and should be able to steer you in the right direction. Let us know if you get this fixed. I am expecting my box tomorrow....

So I went to Home Depot and got some longer bolts. I added another 5/8 spacer and now it fits. So what I really needed was four 1.25 inch spacers and longer bolts. With all that the seat will now sit down snugly against the box.

Now that it's all behind me. The box is actually well built and sounds good.

My last complaint is the "cup holders". Honestly I wish he would have just used that for airspace or cut it out completely so we could use the factory cup holders. I painted the inside of the cup holder black but its still but ugly. Maybe if he thermo-formed a plastic insert for the cup holder it would be nicer, I know hes got the tools for that.
