the major problem with the stereo is that it wont eject cd's anymore and the volume isn't as loud as it used to be. i'm thinking of getting a replacement I know with aftermarket stereo's i'd need an adapter to connect my steering wheel controls. My main reason for looking at aftermarket stereo is to get one that has a auxiliary jack. i've seen lots of stereo's on ebay from wrecked rams etc and my real question is will the new style stereo from 06 up "I believe" fit in the 04 stereo space... my reasoning is because it will have the connections for the steering wheel and the auxiliary i'm wanting. and opinions and knowledge would help Thanks

 

While the newer stock HUs will fit, the wiring is different and so are the harness plugs. Get something after market and either use a wireless remote that comes with it or get this HERE but maybe from Ebay
