Your best bet would be to go aftermarket...
Check out some alpine head units.
I have the 9830 and i love it.
It can be found for $250.

The reason I ask is because my dad works in the service department, at a dodge dealer. ( I asked him, but he is always busy to go check.)

My dad works at a dealership too, and to be honest, stock headunits are a ripoff. Especially if you have plans for a system.

I have decided to put the blaupunkt head unit into the dakota, its cheaper than buying a new one. got a tight budget, i make any were frome 130 to 200 dollars a week and most of that goes into my savings.
