You want the 12v wire

Thanks, glad to see your still around. Luckily for me I dont have factory door locks or factory alarm. I have the black key with no security cut off or anything.

One thing I am not sure about, the remote start has an output for the ignition, 2nd ignition and accessory. But i think our truck has 3 iginitions and 2 accessories, does this mean I need to add extra relays?

I got the remote s tart installed. What a PITA. Getting some of the wires was a royal pita. Then i ran out of the t-taps and had to solder some of the wires (yeah i know better anyways) but hard when the wires are hard to reach places.

Everything is good EXCEPT my headlights come on instead of just the parking lights. I used a 330ohm 1/8 watt resistor. I did not use a relay, I am not sure if its required or not, I read one chart that said a relay was required and one said it wasnt. They work great but I dont want full headlights. Also I am not sure if 1/8 watt tiny little resistor is high enough watts.

Oddly, on the way home after about 45 min of driving my gf swore she smelt buring wire for about 30 seconds, I didnt smell it and she said it went away in a minute or so. I checked everything when I parked, no wires were warm or melted, the resistor was fine (i had assumed it fried being too low watts) and the remote start still operates properly including the the headlights. hopefully the burning smell was in her head.

any one any ideas about the parking light/headlight situation? i assume they are on the same wire, but the lower reistance is for parking and higher is for headlights. i guess i need to redo the resistor?
