Having a problem with the stock Chrysler stereo in my '93 Ram W-150. It is a radio/cassette stereo, with Chrysler emblem, not Dodge. The clock works fine, but if you turn the power on, the radio comes on, either FM or AM, blasting at full volume and skipping out with static, even if on a good station. I would not mind keeping this stereo, since I can get a cassette adapter to run SiriusXM, if need be. Any idea why the radio would act like this when just turning the power on and only on the first "click" on the volume setting?

Not being mean but its 20 yrs old. Replace it

Remembered that I had my stock Infinity from my '95 stuck back in the garage storage. Pulled out the Chrysler radio and stuck this one in, and now there are tunes! Easier to set the clock, too.
