Default FM Transmitter for MP3 Player

Anyone have a recommendation on one of these so I can listen to some tunes in the truck from my MP3 player?
I tried the Belkin but it's terrible.

Thanks.

In my experience, FM transmitters don't work well if you are in a big city, because they really need a range of the FM band that's not in use to work well, and in the city, there usually aren't any truly dead areas on the FM band.

Years ago, I got a device that pluggs in to the CD changer port of my factory stereo and has an iPod connecter on the other end... was pretty easy to install myself, and works like a charm! The company I got it from was http://gromaudio.com/products.html but there are a number of companies that make them, and I am not in any position to tell you if any one is better than the rest? (They make different models that support iPhone/iPod, Bluetooth, or a headphone jack.)

Good luck!

I have had a couple of these over the years. Sound quality is always poor. And as said before, they require a fairly clear fm dial to work without interference

Agreed with all above but want to add it might just be better to get an after market head unit with an aux input so you can add a cord from the MP3 player to the HU

Thanks for the input.
I think I'll return it. Too bad, doesn't sound like anyone's had too much luck with these.

Much appreciated.
