Umm...Kole Audio is garbage. It's flea-market trash...way overrated, poor quality.

I'd look into a single RE Audio SE 12 (www.reaudio.com) call for direct pricing. Go with a JBL 600.1 amp, or any mono amp that does 600rms @2ohms. Through it in a simple 1.5 cube sealed enclosure...and **** away.

went to best buy today to test some subs, and Ill tell you this.

It is really fricken hard to sell subs when over half speakers were either blown or didnt work. the rest sounded like crap. The only one that sounded good was a rockford.

Rockford's have always been good/decent subs and amps.... they're one of the few brands I would ever recommend without any hesitation.

Unfortunately it is very hard to decide what you want when everywhere you go sh*t dont work. I'd suggest trying some local audio shops instead..... Also while you are there.....you may wanna look at the prices and see if it's really worth it to you to pay more for the same stuff you can get cheaper online or at other stores...

Stay away form the audiobahn crap, especially the amp, my buddy had one for a while and it overheated after like 2 mins of play.

I would also have to agree about the rockford products. Although im not a fan of their newer punch line, their older stuff has proven to be great. I just got a rf bd1500.1 for my type r's, even wired to 1 ohm (2 ohm stable amp) it is only warm to the touch after 30 mins of play.

I looked a little bit and Found some stuff, none of it matched the 1000 watts RMS of the sub but I did come close w/ a couple. Is Power Acoustik a good brand?

DO NOT buy subs from a store, mark-up is about 300% for retail... buy Audiobahn... anybody who says Audiobahn is crap knows nothing about car audio... I don't care if your friend had bad luck, he probably installed them wrong. I have 2,800 watts that I installed in my dad's boat and they've been hitting hard all day long for 7... yea 7 years. Rockford BLOWS!!! pm me if you want me to put a package togethor for you that will make your ears blead...
