Default dvd player

Hey does anyone know the approximate cost to have an after market DVD player installed in place of the cd player? I want to get a screen and dvd/cd player for my ram, but dunno how astronomical the prices of installation are.. and also, anyone heard of it being illegal to have a DVD screen in view of the driver? I have a regular cab, so there is no place to put it that I wont be able to see it... plus, why would I want one that I couldnt see! LOL, of course, watchin while drivin is stupid.. anyways..... any such laws exist? thanks

hey whats up

yea there is a law that you cant have a screen up in the drivers side sun visor... but as far as being in your sight none that i know of, and people still put it in the drivers side its not like the police men are gonna bust you on that, they arent all that savy on that stuff, the only problems you might have is the person who installs it giving you a warranty on it. and i dont know about aftermarket prices im wanting to hook up my ram with stuff too... just look around the web there is probably plenty of places.

Don't come to Texas, dude. The Texas lawmakers made some very speciific laws in this respect, and sent notice out to all law enforcement agencies....[sm=smiley16.gif]

Looks nice, but I probably wouldn't put mine there. Too easy to get wet by a drink or damaged.

That's probably a good spot for the screen. It should be safe there since you really can't set anything on the dash above it.
