The CD player in my '07 Durango Limited won't load discs, it doesn't recognize them. Having done some research around, it's seems like a common enough failing. It's the Alpine Premium setup, RAQ labeled radio. Swapping in an aftermarket deck doesn't make much sense with the cost of the conversion box and dash kit. I read in a 300C forum that all Chryco 05-07 stereos will swap. If I were to purchase a less expensive deck, say this single disc with aux input

Would the Alpine Premium amplifier still function as normal? We don't have the DVD player so no concerns about that.

Perhaps this question should be reserved for the seller, but I've had a bad run of people blowing smoke lately, I'd rather get the straight goods from the forum.

The ebay seller was decent and returned my message, seems the Alpine RAQ 6 disc deck can be swapped with a single disc REF deck, models P05064171AK, P05064171AI, P05064171AF, P05064171AN.

Using one of these models will retain the function of the Alpine amp and supply an AUX input, which seems to have replaced CD's anyway.
