I want to put an overhead monitor into my '05 Ram 1500 QC but the ceiling contour is not too condusive for this, very strange hump right in the middle of the overhead where the dome light is. What monitor, minus DVD player, did you go with and how did you make it sit flush? If I can't make this happen, I'm going to have to with the headrest monitors. Pics please.

I did. I got it at Circuit City. It's the Jensen 10.2" screen with dvd attached. I like it. It is black. If using with the factory deck, the FM modulation isn't the greatest, but not too bad. I put a Blaupunkt Chicago headunit in, so I put the audio RCAs right to the head unit (much better sound). I need to reduce the pic sizes before I can post. I need to install photo edit software.

 

Did you do the install yourself or did CC do it? How did you/they get around the hump in the middle of the overhead, any creative cutting of the housing?

 

Here's the pic. CC installed it. They cut the plastic covering. I think they used the trim from the audiovox (much bigger). They didn't put it as far forward as I would have liked, but it's not bad.
