The factory amp on the Infinity system is only a 2 chan amp I believe. No amplification of the rears. Almost no volume on them as well. I think all the speaker wires go through the amp just for the purpose of having a place for them to go cleanly.

Thanks for the definitive info as to what that amp does. Way more than what Dodge knows or is willing to provide! 40 rms is a small rms for a stereo option that costs almost $1000. I got my truck as a new/used so not stressing. Is the amp a 2 chan or 4? Just curious.
