I know this is super old but I'm having a real tough time. I've got the Laramie 06 megacab with the woodgrain center console as well, just like in the very first pic.

I can pull it up gently and pop most of the clips, except right at the rear (next to the glove box console in the middle). Its like its held down by bolts (that i cannot find at all) and will not budge. its almost to the breaking point when I pull at it.

I've removed the rubber inserts for the cup holders, and the other square recession and cannot find any screws.

Anyone able to help?

The top of the center console is held on by clips. It just pulls straight up.
Then the lower section of the console is held on by 3 bolts. You need to remove this. Then there is a collar around the base of the dash, I believe it is 2 pieces, you need to remove them to get at the 2 screws that are facing upwards. Once those 2 screws are removed, the dash bezel will pop off. pull straight out (towards the back seat) The wood grain and the gray/silver piece are all one piece, unplug the wiring to the power outlet, cig lighter and A/C controls, and you are done.

I would highly recommend leaving the 2 screws facing upwards out when you put it back together. This way if you need to get the bezel off, it will just pop off, no need to remove the console again.

Good luck!

i got it figured out thanks. the top part of the consoles clips closest to the business console had tricky clips, i had to push them from inside the lower compartment of the business console with a screw driver to have them disengage.

the rest was pretty easy, but very time consuming. what a pain in the ***. i wish i read this a while ago and left the 2 screws out of the bezel. theres really no need for them at all, and so much digging to get at them. good idea to leave em out for sure. I'll do it next time (i'm sure i'll be digging again one day)
