From reading everyone's comments, it seems that if you're going to upgrade the Infinity sound system H/U, you're going to end up ditching the system. I've got a 04 Ram 1500 QC. Any advise on how to take the top of dash off to access the speakers and hook-up new wires? Front of dash isn't a problem, but HOLY COW is there a lot of plastic and steel underneath! I've worked on Porsche's with more room under there.

You don't have to ditch the Inifinty system. If you have the Gold system, you WILL have to bypass the amp though.
