Ok i just bought a '05 neon sxt. it has a stock stereo nothing special at all i can listen to music, but i want more. i have a 12 Planet Audio dual voice coil (dont know if that means anything) and a 600w 4channel amp i belive (palnet audio also) My ex husband bought these for a car that we used to have and they are about a yr old. Oh i also have a clarion cd player. I want to have a clean look and sound. does anyone have any ideas about how to install? i want new door and tweeter speakers also. I also dont want the rattle. i know i have plenty of questions and i need alot of help. should i go to a car stereo store and have them install? i dont want to get ripped a new one becuase i dont know what i am talking about. Oh and i dont really want to use the clarion if i can get away with it, is there a way to use the stock stereo and still have this other stuff on? thanks for the help.

 

YEAH YOU CAN STOCK 05 SHOULD HAVE PRE-OUTS... AS FAR AS PRICE , IF YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY YOU DO THEN ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS A NEW HARNESS A BOX AND AN AMP KIT... LABOR AND ALL SHOULD BE NO MORE THAN 300 ( AT LEAST IN CALI )

 

JL Audio has an Interface that works wonders, that will allow you to keep your stock head unit. I could type the steps on how to install but that takes too long.
