Default Got a new amp what do you think compared to my old one?

I have two Rockford Fosgate 12" P1 subs in an enclosed box in my 1Gen Neon. They were being powered by a Rockford Fosgate P2002 amp now I have one of the new Sony Xplod XM-1252GTR amps I don't know much about amps since this is my first ever car system so I want to ask all of you which amp is better? I've noticed that the Sony sounds better but one of my friends said that the Rockford is better. Did I make the right choice getting the Sony or should I have stayed with the Rockford? I just exchanged my Rockford for the Sony since I still had a warrenty on it and they are both the same price $150. Here's pics and Specs on both.

Rockford is better. The sony is cea compliant so the specs arent way over rated....but the Rockford is underrated. I guess technically the sony should be better cuz your subs are getting more watts, but I couldnt make myself ever trade a rockford for a sony.

Yeah I hear ya. I only traded the Rockford for the Sony cuz I like the look of the Sony better than the Rockford also it has more power. I would've gotten a better system but don't want to spend a cpl grand on something that's only gonna be used when I'm in the car.

Ya but jst because an amp is cea compliant doesnt mean they still cant underrate their amps.

Rockford is underrated, they are right up there with JL Audio, Alpine, and Infinity. Personally im a JL/Kenwood person but I do have a rockford amp because theirs tend to be better on wear and use.

I wouldnt of bought the Sony and here is why, they use cheap parts. Cheap parters = piece of ****. DO NOT be suprised if that thingse useless in a year. The reason sony uses cheap parts because that divion of the company gets the least amound of funding because Sony gets nothing from it, all their money is made off of Playstations and TV's. Thank god you didnt buy the XPlod subs because you would of found out what loud dixi cup plastic sounds like, because thats what their made of. They do make good HU's but for the love of god!!!!. Please take it back and get something else, there is no bigger piece of **** in the world, if you dont belive me look at how long its taken the XPlod divion to come out with a new product.

Please for the love of all that is good, get rid of it!!!

If you want more power, go with the Sony, if you want something that will last you years and be very reliable, go with Rockford Fosgate!
