For Those of You Who Do Not Want To Replace Your Factory Head Unit
Ive noticed on here alot lately that many of us have factory head units that they do not wish to have replaced when they buy aftermarket systems. This is understandable because alot of the time after market head units ruin the design of the interior and can look worse than what you already have. But at the same time we want aftermarket quality, well herese the solution to that problem.
A solution to this is buying an interface. Many companies sell these. An interface allows you to have the aftermarket quality wile at the same time keeping your factory look. Below are a list of the best rated interfaces on the market.

RE: For Those of You Who Do Not Want To Replace Your Factory Head Unit
Thanks, for this info. With the way my head unit is in my new mustang, I don't really want an aftermarket, because it would just look like crap.
And would like clean sound. My set up I am doing will be this. Infinity Basslink II 250Wrms power sub. Infinity Basslink 4SC( This is a added module to the BASSLINK II that puts 4 - 50Wrms Channels.) And my car is set up to use 5x7's so I am going to replace those with Infinity KAPPA682.7CF's. I already installed 2 because I had a new set in my garage. I accidently bought these for my truck when I wanted 6x9's. SO I saved them for a rainy day .
The speaker specs are
Power Handling, RMS 100 Watts
Power Handling, Peak 300 Watts
Sensitivity 94dB
Frequency Response 40Hz - 25kHz
Mounting Depth 2-1/4"
Impedance 2 Ohms

I didn't get the Shaker system, justthe premium. I didn't want it. I don't need a 6 disc changer since I have my IPOD which has my whole collection of music on now. Took me a few months to do. I still need to put my Harman Kardon Drive & Play in it though from the truck. Also I knew I wanted to put a better system in it, so why waste the money on getting the Shaker.

There is also a cheaper unit I found for about 150 by AudioControl. I am sure the others listed above are much better, but this is for keeping in the budget
