Incorrect.

You are going to want either a MONO amplifier, that produces 800rms @1ohm... OR a 2channel amplifier that produces 800rms @4ohms bridged

For inexpensive amplifiers, that still put out great power...

Look into:
Phoenix Gold Xenon
Orion
Hifonics

You could also look into:
Alpine MRP
Rockford Power Series
Kicker ZX Series or SX Series

That rockford is pretty nice. Expensive tho. http://www.discountjungle.net/produc...er_raa2400.htm that is a very nice amp and very very good price...wow!! I would personally tell you to get a mono amp, but that choice is all up to you.

Either amp with power both subs. Either get a mono thats rated 800rms at 1ohm or a 2 channel amp that is rated 800rms at 4ohm bridged(mono). What amp you get it totally up to you. Class d is more efficient, so it is a little easier on your electrical system.

I encourage you to look closely at my last post. Your only possible options to get maximum output from the speakers that you have is to wire one of two ways.

A all parallel configuration will yield a 1 ohm mono load with a pair of dvc 4 ohm subs. The proper amp for this is a 1 ohm mono capable and engineered amp. YES the JL / series of amplifiers will work for you, in particular the 1000/1.

The other option is a monster 2 channel amplifer. To use this amp it needs to be bridged mono. You will need to wire the subs in a series / parallel circuit to yeild a 4 ohm load that is safe for the amp to handle.

I gave you links that you may have overlooked, again read the links as they are highly important to your understanding of how things work. If you need I will be glad to answer more questions as it pertains to what you are after.

In most but not all cases, a 4 channel amplifier is not going to be the best choice for you at all.

I will also not recommend the dual amp route for you at all at this point in time. No offence intended but if one does not understand the basics of electricity and wiring, I would not expect one to understand the complexity of using two amplifiers properly in this application.

I agree 100% with forbidden. Plus you would have to buy more rca's, distribution block, blah blah. Get the mono amp!

No, as stated... a four channel amplifier will not work to power your subwoofers.

One mono, or one larger two channel would be best.

VERY solid choice, I would recommend this amplifier.

Stick with one amp as stated, it's a cheaper solution as well.

The above MB Quart amp is of great quality, and will put out it's rated RMS power
