Ok, I got 2 JL W6v2's for my Ram1500. Now, I need to know what amp would be good to power them both. The Peak Power for each is 800w and 400RMS. What amp would be good to power both of the subs for less money? How much power would I need in the amp or whatever? Thanks!

You need either one of two types of amplifiers. You need a mono class D amp rated to make it's power into a 1 ohm mono load. The other option is a monster 2 channel amplifier that makes it's power into a 4 ohm mono load. Here is a link to the wiring circuit, option #1. DO NOT buy an amp that is drastically more power than the subs are rated for. Look closely at the RMS rating of the amp at the impedence load as that is what the important "spec" is going to be.

I was looking at Rockfords, but they are a bit expensive for 400rms per channel. And JL's are way too expensive. I found some diffrent amps:

If you can please take a look at those and tell me which would be best for my 2 W6's, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank You guys so much!

Posting for the 10th time... I was looking at the peak and RMS of the Rockford, and it seems like the better choice. Think it'll do the job right? I trust Rockford because I have P1's and they run on a p300.1 and there are no problems, always have the same power. So what do you guys think after checking out the links?

RF amps are solid, and while a bit pricey, are always going to give you 100% You dont need to have a full blown 400RMS per channel.....but I would try and get it as close as you can with the money you have. I've used RF for a while....and the only reason I went away from it is I couldnt afford what I wanted

I say none of the above. You are looking at multichannel amplifiers. Not that they could not do the job, however, there are far better choices available. First off, as a dealer / installer myself, I will always recommend that you spend your $ with the people that can help you and need and appreciate your business. Go to a local specialty shop and strike up a deal there. Warranty issues these days on products bought of the net from unauthorized dealers is a scary situation. There may be some good e-tailers out there but few and far between. A "deal" is only so good as the product and if it is right for you.

If you save up for the Porsche, you may want to invest in the premium gas. I am not sure why you feel comfortable sending your cash to some unknown individual who owns a site called "Discount Jungle" but that's another discussion.
All the amplifiers you're looking at use a very enthusiastic 14.4V input (which does not exist in your vehicle). The JL Audio amplifiers are rated at a more realistic 12.5V input (in-care voltage...imagine that). For every 2V input swing, there is a 30% output voltage swing. When comparing power specs, remember to know off 30% off their numbers to get a more realistic comparison.
Two W6v2 drivers will yield a 1 or 4 ohm final impedance. Many amplifers cannot handle a 1 ohm load and cannot produce full power at 4 ohms. The JL Audio "Slash" series produces full power into 1.5 - 4ohm loads. They also have much higher damping factor than the others which is important if you care about how it sounds.
Two W6v2 drivers will be compatible with a 250/1, 500/1 or a 1000/1.
