Default power wire and box price

I'm pushing 2 audiobahn AW1206T 12" subs with a 2400rms audiobahn amp. right now i'm using 4gauge power wire and 2gauge ground wire. my question is that if I have 4gauge battery terminals is it going to be worth running 2 gauge wire if I still have the same terminals.

eventually i'll upgrade the terminals to, but its not easy to upgrade my system on military pay if you want to buy performance upgrades too.

also does anyone have a ball park figure on how much a fiberglass box should cost for a 6 cubic foot box?

thanks!!!!!!!!

You Should be fine with that 4g because that amp isnt anywhere close to 2400wrms. Yor probably looking at 1400 at the most, so the 4 will work fine. If you still feel the need to upgrade your wire to 2ga than just trim down the wore a little to fit the terminal, you wont loose any power this way. The price for your box will depend on alot of things, first is if you are porting it or not, and if you want a fancy mounting arangement of the subs but either way your looking at 700-1200 for a finished box.

first off, you always want the power and ground wire to be the same guage. This will maximize power flow. if your amp can take 2 awg, then run 2 awg. they must have put it on the amp for a reason right?
