Default cassette question

Hey guys i just resently (month ago) swapped out my old oem dolby system and put in my sisters oem dolby system from her Neon to mine. the problem is that her cassette deck doesn't work but the cassette deck in my old system did work. i was just wondering if i could just swap out the deck from my old one and put it in the new one. both radios are the same and i've taken them apart (my old one) and the deck is a seperate component so i think it would work but what do you guys think? cause i dont want to take it apart and swap and end up breaking my "new" radio.

yea its just held in by like 2 bolts and the whole radio goes in 2 pieces...and theres a single wire/cable that connects the deck to the radio.

does the wire have a connection on it, or is it sauderd (sp?) on the other peice. Useally a 2 piece like that was made for replacements. So it should work.
