Default New System for an '06

I recently purchased an '06 Quad and have never done anything with a Ram. I need some advice w/a decent system. I know that 6x9's are in the front and 5 1/4's are in the back, but that's about it. I've looked at some RockFos's and Infinities for the speakers, however, if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I haven't been able to find anything but 10's and 12's for the sub, but I would actually prefer an 8 (getting a little bit older and value my hearing), but would possibly consider a 10. Basically, I'm looking for decent 6x9's, 5 1/4's, a 10 or 8 w/suggestions on the box, and a good head unit, and an amp. I would prefer a unit that has video and sirius, but sirius is a must (I want it in the unit and not have to get a separate receiver w/a FM modulator). Any suggestion, ideas, or pics would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU in advance.

Well lets get started here
Headunit - You can get ones that are sat. ready obviously..but I havent seen any with the receiver built in.
Speakers- I would take infinity over fosgate
8" sub- I know jst the sub for you http://www.ascendantaudio.com/assassin8specs.html
Small compnay that makes great products with a 3 year warrenty!!!
Amp- http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROC06P2002
You get a free amp kit/warrenty extention/free shipping with that amp
Box- Sealed .5cf Would be easy to build yourself and would fit uner that back seat

i think that eclipse head units come with a built-in sirius sat. radio. it says "Built-in controls let you add an optional SIRIUS satellite radio." So i take it you just need a subscription and your set. Well, don't take my word. I found the eclipse in my crutchfield magazine. go to crutchfield.com and check out some hu's there and see what i'm talking about with the eclipse.

It can control the tuner from the head unit....but you still need the sat. tuner.

Yea no matter what you must buy the Satelite tuner... because it controlls all those functions... Personally i would go with a Pioneer HU but If you want video it is going to cost you extra... Remember that almost all HU's these days are Satelite compatable but it will cost at least $100 for the tuner... And if you are going video I wouldnt stray far from Pioneer or even Alpine... Eclipse is probably too expensive for you though... Anyway What is your budget i am sure that we can figure out something for you

Well, I know that clarion makes them as well, so I'm kinda looking at those right now. Budget is not an issue really, however, I do want to keep it simple

Ok here is what i would do... 2 amp set up:

4 Channel Amp maybe an Eclipse for your Speakers in the car...
2 Channel Amp for the sub or subs which ever you prefer thats up to you
2 Ascendant Audio Assasins 10" $70 a piece
I would go sealed with the box... either u can have them seperated firing up or toward the frontor together... probably .7 cuft total volume is what you are looking for... I have a guy who builds them custom really well... i can check his prices
The highs i would go with are Diamond Audio D3 u can get 6x9 for the front and 5 1/4 for the rear $ 80 and $120
The HU i would go with is A Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD (My friend has it on his truck its very nice) $800
Satelite Radio Tuner $100

If you want Navi it will cost at least $100 - $300 more
I would probably NOT get the Video i would rather go with this Pioneer DEH-P7800MP for around $300 its a great HU and it has 5v outputs which is great for having multiple amps!
Also u will need 2 Wiring Kits for your amps which i would buy from www.Knukonceptz.com

Any questions please feel free to ask me

ok, when i remember the name of the company in italy that makes those sick amps, i will tell you. but, there is this company who makes probably the best amp you can get for clarity. they aren't too pricey as you may think. if anybody reading this can think of the name of the company from italy, that would be of great help! but the amp is amazing. i heard it in my friends store and i was just in awe!
