Amateur Radio Installation
Greetings!
I need to install my Ham Radio in my 2000 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4. I'm looking at placing it in front of the front middle seat mounted off of the center seat support bracket. The question I have is, I need to run power feed back to the battery. Both leads will be fused by the battery. Is there any special conditions I should be aware of when routing this power feed in the engine compartment. The GMC van I had before, I had to stay clear of any engine sensors and the PCM module.
Thanks for any help and advice!

There is a nice rubber plug to the left and up a bit from the stearing collum, it is perfect for running wires to the battery. You really dont have to watch anything.
I think steering clear of the PCM, and other components is in reference to RF power. They don't want antennas, antenna wires, and linear amps near sitive equipment. Power wires usually will only effect a conductor carrying line signal.
Good look.
