Default Quick Amplifier Question

I have a Pioneer head unit rated at 45W x 4 channels.

I'm thinking about installing an amplifier and need to know if
I put (for example only) an amp rated at 60W x 4 channels,
will the output then be 105W x 4 channels?

Or would it only end up being 60W x 4 channels? Thanks.

This is correct. You could also run rear speakers off the head unit and then bridge the front speaker on the amp. It will give the front speakers double the power.

*!But make sure your speakers can handle that much power if you wanna bridge them!*

Doesn't really matter as long as the gains are set right.

I couldnt tell if he was gona run the factory fronts or not.....but I agree you can run a decent amount of power more than the rms says as long as its clean power...but you and I both know most ppl crank that bass boast and almost max the gains out.

Very true! lol It's always user error. That's why as much as I hate Kicker's SX line of amps, they have the ability to lock the user out of the settings. So once you set them you know they won't mess with them. Every amp and headunit should be like that.
