hey guys i have a 2006 dodge ram quad cam, i got a eclipse hu and jl w6 10" in a "hot box" from ebay.......well i was looking for more bass?

so my question is whats a good spot for another box??

 

Where is the hot box located?

 

its replaces the center seat in the front..

Most ppl with extended cab rams put a box under the back seat. You can find a handful of manuf. that makes these boxes.

 

What amp are you running? The W6 can handle quit a bit of power. Also is it an older W6 or the newer version?

 

its a newer W6 and im using a alpine amp its putting out 400...

 

What model # on the alpine amp? It really sounds like you dont have enough power for your sub.

what amp would u guys recomend?

 

Well going off the specs of the Alpine wich I just looked up,it sayd that it will do 400 watts @ 2 ohm which should be somewhat efficient for that sub as long as you have it wired in parrallel (positive to positive and negative to negative).But as far as recommended amp I would suggest the JL 500/1 honestly.

 

If it was wired in parrallel it would have got 400 and that is a fine amount of power...
