i have:
2 infinity kappa perfect 10.1's-150$
mtx tc6001- 450$ w/ discount
fiberglass box-400$ w/ discount

crutchfield.com has the subs at "buy one, get one free." 150 for one.

for a truck, i wouldnt recommend 12's. you need airspace and a lot of it! so get yourself some 10's and get more asirspace so your subs can hit harder. i listen to all sorts of music. but mostly rap and metal. the rap with the subs sounds f'ing amazing as well as it does with metal.

people hear me coming before they see me coming. oh, the hot neighbor across the street from me came over 2 days ago and complimented on how nice and loud my truck was and she would like to ride in it one day hehe, she cant resist me. lol. or is it my truck? oh well. either or, itmakes me feel stupendous!

running an amp below its rated impendance is not recommended...and some would argue its not safe...and theyre is a reason why the amp is 'not stable at 1ohm'...but...to each their own..you say youve had no problems with them...ok...good for you...i personally havent experienced them...but i KNOW tons of people personally who have...and ive heard their 'systems' and to be honest...i wasnt impressed in the least...but there is alot offactors that play in that...and you guys are right...is fosgate complete garbage...? no...im sure i can name a few brands that are below them...volfenhag...lanzar...audiovox...just to name a few...and also...habeba...maybe you can help me on this...isnt hi-fonics...one of those cheapie amps...or is it a really expensive one...im not sure...i really wouldnt mess with it...i mean...its like the saying goes...'you get what you pay for'...to me...going from kicker down to fosgate...is a huge step-down in my opinion...but to each his own...i personally dont consider fosgate to be middle of the road...like kicker...infact i have kicker in my car...got the sub...and the amp (750.1) for 480 shipped..brand new stuff too...maybe im at fault for not saying WHY i feel as though rockford is garbage...but just to say its garbage and not to explain why is something different...and i apologize...the whole point of your post should have been to give the man an idea as to what to do for his system...instead...you attempt to 'flame' me...which was stupid...no matter which way you look at it...the second post you made...should have been your first...also...take a look at my sig...if you know anything about audio...then maybe you would understand my position...and finally...what do you have in YOUR truck??...anyway...enough of that...high duke...i would love to see your truck with the fiberglass...please post pics...however i feel as though the average person cant spend that much on a custom box...if i remember correctly...the guy was trying to keep his spending to a limit...but anyway...regardless...good idea...and pics are always welcomed

maybe im at fault for not saying WHY i feel as though rockford is garbage...but just to say its garbage and not to explain why is something different...
maybe because they charge an extra 60$ to upgrade a sub an additional 50 watts? you know, go from a P1 to a P2 is 60$. maybe thats why they are garbage to you. lol. thats one thing i hate about them, but they are a good sub though.

high duke...i would love to see your truck with the fiberglass...please post pics...however i feel as though the average person cant spend that much on a custom box...if i remember correctly...the guy was trying to keep his spending to a limit...but anyway...regardless...good idea...and pics are always welcomed
i got pics on my profile of my subs in the box, but i need to get new batteries for my camera and a couple more photos. i feel that it wasnt too much for the box. well, it saved me 50 headaches and 4 days of work and stress and more of that kool "stuff." lol.

Hifonics is I guess a good budget amp...they ar way overrated, but still do put out more power per dollar than almost all other amps. I wouldnt run them, but I would reccomend them for a bigger budget system....but then again big and budget shouldnt go together!

600 for the amp, subs, box, wiring and install? If so that not a bd price from a dealer.
You can get that amp online for about 150 from a known company.....the subs are a good deal as said above...if that price includes wiring and a box I would jst tell you to get that....
Memphis=great
power acoustiks=I ran 2 of their amps a couple years ago and had no problems, sold both of them to my friends and they still have them to this day.
Lightning Audio=amps are decent, subs are....ok,speakers suck, wiring is good....I was running it in the truck and previous install.....they are owned by fosgate.

Depends on how you wire the subs up, if its a mono amp putting 450rms at 4ohm x1 then yea it puts 450 x1 at 4 ohm, if you have the amp bridged running at 2ohm then you will get a little bit more power, but it will also be cut in half due to running 2 subs...

check out some online wire diagrams and see how it works.

http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...model=MRP-M450

thats the same amp i have,

RMS Power
Per channel into 4 ohms: 220W x 1
Per channel into 4 ohms: 110W x 2
Per channel into 2 ohms: 400W x 1
Per channel into 2 ohms: 200W x 2

The Alpine Type Es max Rms is 250. Little underpowerd, but i have the same amp running 2 tens type e and its fine, if you really want it to hit, then go with the M650 its $100 dollars more though, but its enough power to push 3 if you wanted to.
